Sports: Nigerian Born Footballer Eniola Aluko Makes History In England



Nigerian born female footballer Eniola Aluko broke is now the first female footballer of African descent to appear in a PFA award twice.

The award show was on April 23, 2017 and the England forward who plays for Chelsea Ladies FC was included in the Women’s Super League (WSL) Team of the Year.

The 30-year-old is the elder sister to Super Eagles star Sone Aluko who currently plays for Fulham but she opted to play for England in 2004.

Also, she made history as the first female football pundit on BBC’s show, Match of the Day in 2014.

In 2016 she claimed the golden boot having scored nine goals in 16 games for Chelsea Ladies.
